My Name
Sunset Fiberworks is a fiber arts studio set up for teaching as well as for my personal use. There are a variety of looms available as well as a spinning wheel and other fiber preparation tools. I want others to be able to use them to learn spinning and/or weaving. It is also an opportunity to learn the strengths and limitations of various looms.
The studio is located in Traphill, NC on a farm that has been in the family since the Revolutionary War. It has a bedroom upstairs and a kitchenette and bathroom downstairs and is in quiet setting with a spectacular view of the mountains. Arrangements can be made to stay on-site or camping is close by. Hotel accommodations and restaurants are 12 miles away in Elkin, NC. We are close to Winston-Salem, Wilkesboro, Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway so there is a lot to do when not weaving or spinning!
